COVID-19 Announcement 3/23/20

To Our Clients and Business Partners,

During this time, Gold Coast Ingredients is considered an “Essential Business”, and our company remains open and running production at full capacity.

The Federal government has identified 16 critical infrastructure sectors who are considered vital. On March 19, 2020, our Governor of California stated in his order issues: “I order that Californians working in these 16 critical infrastructure sectors may continue their work because of the importance of these sectors to California’s health and well-being”. Therefore, we will continue to fulfill orders and sample requests as needed.

We understand the concern felt by all relative to the COVID-19 outbreak and how it may affect our company, our employees, our customers, business partners, and vendors. The GMP education and procedures that we have in place will assist in mitigating the spread of disease.  In addition, all employees producing our products wear full face respirators and gloves at all times when on the production floor, further minimizing the possibility of product contamination.  We are reminding employees at each of our facilities the necessity for proper handwashing; the use of onsite sanitizer stations continues to be encouraged.   Our policies encourage employees who are not feeling well or feel that they have been in close contact with an infected person to stay home.  Answers to common concerns regarding COVID-19 have been posted throughout our facilities to assist our employees in understanding this illness.  Those who exhibit visible signs of illness will be denied entry into our facilities.  Visitors are prohibited from entering our production rooms with the exception of State and Federal Inspectors without prior notification and appropriate screening.

We remain in close contact with our vendors and maintain an ample raw material inventory to assure that our supply stream remains uninterrupted.  Where possible, we have multiple preapproved vendors in place.

The health and safety of our employees and the protection of our products is a top priority.  Gold Coast is monitoring the circumstances on an hour by hour basis and reviewing CDC recommendations as the situation evolves.  Any changes will be communicated swiftly to our employees, clients and partners.
